Exams…

This hasn’t been a particularly good week for me in terms of exams.

I had a practical assessment that went really well, until after I’d finished and realised that I’d left out one of the mandatory items. The assessor didn’t seem to notice, because it got ticked, but I’m waiting to get the call back.

Then last night’s exam threw me a few curly questions that I wasn’t expecting, and so hadn’t prepared for. I’m hoping that I threw together enough waffle to get across the line, but I wasn’t feeling too optimistic last night.

I’ve got a fitness test this afternoon, and due to this cold/cough thingy, I haven’t really run or done much exercise for a few weeks. Hopefully I can do enough to get through, I really don’t want to be down here for another three months…

Sign Me This?

I’ve noticed recently that my signature is an evolving piece of artwork, and not necessarily getting better but rather heading the other way.

The more I sign the more it seems to look nothing like my name and the more simplistic it is getting.

My signature originally started off plain and you could read each letter as it was basically printed because I always thought it was weird how you couldn’t read peoples signatures.

It then evolved a few times before I got to the point where you could read my first initial and the first half of my surname and the rest was a single line.

Now it always looks different, but mostly looks like a C followed by a big t.

I now find myself having to forge my own signature when signing for my credit card as my current signature looks nothing like it and even then I’m not that good at forging it and am waiting to have it knocked back!

I think I might try to evolve it more and change it into a pretty cloud or some other random object… heck if it looks nothing like my name now why not go all the way!

Boobs.

A few people have asked me what the deal is with the ad that keeps appearing that has the lady with the boobs and words like “Build your Empire” and “Start your journey now my lord”

But they obviously know, as they tell me that this woman and her boobs are appearing on a bunch of websites.

I think I could probably stop it from appearing in the ad settings or something, but couldn’t be stuffed, although it is an annoying ad…

Obviously it’s an ad just put there by the ad provider, but if her boobs are annoying you then let me know I will have them removed.

Sea Patrol

I was a bit wasted last night after a big day at church running a Pupil Free Fun Day for Kindies to year 6 kids… BIG day! So when I got home I just crashed on the couch and zoned out in front of the TV. For whatever reason Fi and I ended up watching Sea Patrol.

Maybe I should say we endured watching Sea Patrol… I believe that Sea Patrol is Australia’s biggest budget TV show and it’s pure guff. The acting was terrible, the plot was ridiculous and the dialogue was at best cliche…

After watching The Wire from HBO it’s hard to call Sea Patrol “drama”… “spoof” would probably be a better genre.

Needless to say anymore, I was very unimpressed. Thank God it was finale.

Le Tour est au-dessus de…

It was always going to be a tough ask for Cadel Evans to make 3 minutes after the disasterous time trial early in in the tour, and now he’s 7 minutes off the pace… it’s over.

It’s pretty disappointing that the Tour was pretty much decided for Cadel by a team time trial, I just think that it disadvantages any individual who could very well match the best riders man on man all because they don’t have the financial backing or recruiting power of the bigger teams… I say out with the team time trial for 2010. It’s made this years Tour decidedly more boring than last years…

I think now I’m going to barrack for Andy Schleck or even Bradley Wiggins… you know… they’re probably not going to win, but it’s always good going for the underdogs… Astana are just too strong.

Busy, but bored…

I’m a bit bored today.

I don’t have anything that I have to do until lunchtime. There are plenty of things that I could, or should do, but nothing that’s actually scheduled for right now.

So instead of being productive or organised, I’m sitting around playing with the interweb. I think even sleeping would be more useful than looking at Facebook or reading the news again.

Blogging a fairly ‘nothing’ blog is the closest I’ve come to contributing to society today.

On placement news:
Someone offered to swap me for Mount Druitt this morning. I laughed, then realised they were serious. No. No thank you.

4 weeks of classes left, 6 weeks until I start work (hopefully).

Web Host

Looks like we’re going to need to find a new place to host our website… the current one will be unavailable soon, which sucks because up until now it has been free!!

Any suggestions as to what we should do?

Pete, maybe you need to tweet and facebook status it, it seems to have worked for the helicopter flight!

I do know a guy who might be a possibility actually…

Conspiracy Theory

I knew it was only a matter of time before the conspiracy theories started circulating about Michael Jackson (SMH today “was Michael Jackson murdered?”).

Of course we all know that MJ isn’t dead. Neither is Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, or Tupac… They’re all hanging out on that secret island for celebrities that fake their own death.

What i love about conspiracy theories is that they always assume that people have more control over life than we actually do… As if people really ever have any idea what the hell is going on anywhere. Try getting the different Telstra departments to talk to each other… no one ever knows what anyone else is doing. Like there’s someone at the top of the food chain who has worked out a master fool-proof plan to help people fake their death or play dumb with my internet account…

Of course maybe this is just the result of a conspiracy to keep me ignorant… I’m that important.
