Ok, so it’s a little late for the whole first blog of ‘08 for me and that… but I got excited and just had to write this somewhere…

While having a little look at Facebook I noticed that Laurie mentioned something about the Olympics in his status. It’s an Olympic year people!! How good is that?!

There some serious sitting in front of the telly and watching sport to be had this year, and I can’t wait!!

I’ve often thought about taking holidays for the whole Olympic period just to sit and watch, or to sleep during the day and stay up all night, or whatever it takes based upon where they’re being held.

But I’m already running low on holidays this year, I’m taking a week off soon and I don’t even have enough holidays for that, but my boss is tops and giving it to me anyway… so not sure I’ll be able to justify holidays to watch telly, but we’ll see, maybe I can make it coincide with other holidays…

…no, not the Madonna song, but the actual event of having a break from my regular life.

We’re about to head down to the south coast of NSW to enjoy some sun, water, and quiet. It’s been a good year, but with plenty of challenges, and although challenges can be good, often I’d rather just have a smooth run for a while.

Although as a rule I don’t ‘do’ New Years Resolutions, I’ve decided that this year I’m going to try to:

1. be more diligent
2. be more patient
3. value the people around me more highly

These don’t count as NYR’s. They just don’t.
