I was The Great White Hunter for a whole evening after I caught my fish. The next night I was The Guy Who Almost Caught a Crab, which doesn't have anywhere near as good a ring to it.

I found 300 a bit boring, actually. As soon as the film had started, everyone knew where it was going to end up, and it was as though the filmmakers knew that, so didn't even try to make us guess anything... they just laid it out nice and simply for us. The animation / live action thing was vaguely cool, but really it was just like a really long music video, without a song that I was particularly interested in.

I quite enjoyed Shooter though. Obviously as realistic as a Chuck Norris film, but good fun anyway.

Viva la board game revolution! we got settlers of catan for christmas which has already seen action these holidays, and friends have also got new board games that I'm looking forward to taking for a test drive.

Nice catch on the fish. At least you've caught something decent enough to cook and eat... your male pride should be through the roof!!

What did you think of 300?
